Attendance

We have read the school’s Attendance Policy and understand that, should we take leave of absence in term time without written authorisation from the school, the school may issue a Fixed Penalty Fine.

ICT Policy

Computer games, live chat rooms and any form of social networking sites including Twitter, Instagram and Facebook are not permitted on the North Kesteven School network.

I must log in using only my own username and keep my password secret.

I understand that if I do not follow these rules, I will be denied access to the computer network for a time to be determined by my teacher and may face further disciplinary action. I am aware that each case will be considered on its own merits and that honesty will be recognised.

I/We agree to follow the Computer Network Policy. For full policy wording please see school website.

Mobile phones – Students are allowed to bring mobile phones to school but should understand that the school does not take responsibility for any loss or damage caused. Students, therefore, need to take responsibility for their phones at all times.

Phones must be switched off in lessons unless the teacher expressly directs students otherwise. Staff are able to confiscate mobile phones should this rule be broken, and phones will be held in the General Office until 3.15pm when students will be permitted to collect them. However, should a student’s phone be confiscated on more than one occasion, the school reserves the right to decline to return the phone to the student and return the phone only to the parents/carers.

Students are not permitted to take photos or videos of any staff or students on the school site under any circumstances. Should there be reasonable suspicion that a student may have contravened this policy, the school reserves the right to view/locate the files or images and take appropriate action, including confiscating items overnight and involving the police if necessary.
